Nielsen Construction California President, Niel Pollock, has over 30 years of construction industry experience. In 2002, Niel suffered a spinal cord injury from a surfing incident, which has since influenced his life in many ways. In 2004, Sharp Hospital awarded the Eagle Spirit Award to Niel and Rebecca Pollock for their creation of the Ranchero Fund at Sharp Rehabilitation to provide durable medical equipment to spinal cord injured patients who could not afford these items. Niel is also an honorary board member of the HeadNorth Foundation and has served on the Mayor’s Council on Disabilities since its inception. Outside of work, Niel enjoys spending time with his family and swimming at the Peninsula YMCA where he also serves as a board member.
