The SIO Research Support Facilities provide space to support research in sea-going programs at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography.

The project began with the demolition of existing support facilities and finished with the construction of three new pre-fabricated metal warehouse buildings (totaling 24,500 square feet), exterior research support areas, improvements to the existing access road, a unisex toilet, and underground utility work. The NCC Team also added incidental mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work.

The construction process consisted of extensive grading and site remedial work. Exterior improvements included landscaping, pervious pavement installation, and irrigation system implementation.
