This project involves the development of a new United States Karate Academy (USKA) studio located at 2445 Fenton Street in Chula Vista, California. Designed to support a dynamic martial arts training environment, the space is being planned to meet both functional and aesthetic needs while enhancing the surrounding community. The scope of work includes a comprehensive interior build-out with upgraded mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems in alignment with local code requirements. Improvements include a new electric heating system, updated fire sprinklers, and expanded plumbing to accommodate relocated restrooms, a urinal, and a dedicated mop room. The studio will also feature interior enhancements to support daily operations and training, including built-in counters, shelving, moveable cabinetry, and mirrored training walls. A storefront upgrade with double entry doors improves both accessibility and visibility. Upon completion, the new USKA studio will provide a modern, well-equipped training facility and serve as a valuable addition to the Chula Vista community.

Nielsen Construction California, Inc. completed a new 300 SF outdoor food pavilion at SDG&E’s Century Park campus. The project features a freestanding food service kiosk supported by custom shade structures, integrated landscape elements, wood lattice screening, and concrete seating areas. Improvements also included new sidewalk paving and site utility upgrades to support the facility’s operations. Located adjacent to active buildings, the project required careful coordination to minimize disruption while maintaining schedule and quality. The result is a modern, functional outdoor dining environment designed to enhance campus experience.
